The vision that gives shape to the future
Simona Klack
Some people enter a story and give it new momentum. For Amafarmacia, Simona represents that: the vision to imagine, the energy to build and the care that gives meaning to every step.
To tell Simona’s story is to tell an important part of Amafarmacia’s identity: one that sees its roots as something to preserve while still having the courage to look ahead. Since 2011, when she and Francesco took on the legacy of Amafarmacia Mortari, her contribution has brought new energy through ideas, sensitivity and the determination to turn them into something tangible.
An architect’s eye and the care of someone who believes in a project
Her training in architecture brings a particular way of seeing: understanding the whole without losing sight of detail, imagining how a space can welcome people and how an idea can become an experience. At Amafarmacia, this perspective meets people, departments, product ranges and everyday work. Beauty becomes something practical and close: feeling welcomed, finding your way easily and recognising a place you can trust.
The energy that turns ideas into reality
Simona oversees purchasing, project development, store management and staff coordination. Behind these responsibilities is patient work that is often invisible to someone who visits for only a few minutes: selecting, organising, connecting expertise and ensuring continuity in decisions. It is the work that allows a vision to last beyond the initial enthusiasm and become part of a team’s daily habits.
Her contribution deserves to be told for this reason too: for the value of what she brings together, the attention she gives to detail and the determination required to grow a project without losing its meaning. Amafarmacia’s contemporary image, the care of its spaces and the organisation of its departments all reflect this design sensibility.
People first
A pharmacy comes to life through the people who use it and work in it. In coordinating the team, Simona looks after the everyday network of roles, collaboration and organisation that supports the way people are welcomed. Alongside Francesco’s scientific leadership, her work gives different skills room to contribute and brings them together around a shared project.
With Amafarmacia Peirano joining the project in 2024, the journey also reached Grugliasco: two pharmacies, each with its own history, and a future to build together. Simona brings to this path her ability to imagine what can still be created and to develop it one step at a time.
Shaping different experiences
The company’s journey also includes Medicalshop, opened in 2018 at Verona Porta Nuova railway station. The presentation and preserved photographs document a project in which space planning, product range and clear department identity were designed together. It is a concrete example of the themes running through Simona’s organisational and design work: connecting spaces, products and people in a coherent experience.
That project has now ended and is preserved in our historical archive. Its story sits alongside those of the two active pharmacies without confusing their locations, services or availability.
Our gratitude to Simona is the kind reserved for someone who puts part of herself into what she builds: for ideas that become possibilities, care that becomes welcome and energy that becomes the future. The name Amafarmacia carries a promise of love for the work and for people; her contribution helps give that promise shape every day.
